My 5 year old always yells when she talks. I had her ears checked and they are fine. I just don't know what to do

my daughter is also 5, but she is opposite. She talks very softly, I always have to tell her that she needs to speak up so I can hear her.

I would tell her that you can't hear her unless she talks with an "inside" voice. That worked with my little brother.

I have not dealt with this personally but I would suggest you intentionally speak extra quiet to her so she will eventually regulate herself. It wont fix over night. Also keep other noises down so she doesnt feel like she needs to talk over everything... but if you are asking on here, you have probably already looked at the obvious. Do you think she does it to get equal attention from a sibling? If so, I would spend more time at her level with good eye contact. Does she interupt often? It easy to carry a long conversation with an older sibling and she may feel left out. The other thing I would make sure of is that if she has older siblings, they are not allowed to interrupt her even if what she is talking about does not seem that important.
