How to make a chore chart for my 12yr old girl and 9 yr old boy that works?

I am overwhelmed with daily chores in the house. I need for my children to help out on a daily basis, but do not want to overwhelm them either, being that they have school work, bedroom, laundry. I feel our house is disorganized and we need to work together as a team. I do not want to pay my children money as an allowance or reward, but am willing to reward with gift cards to yogurtland, jambajuice, but how often is the question? how many chores 1 or two??thank you for your advice

i have 2 kids age 7 and 4 they do chores without an allowance. we will get them a treat at the end of the week if they do them. they help feed kittys everyday and put away their laundry every couple of days, empty the dishwasher and pick up the dirt pile when i sweep (prego with #3) they also clean their rooms everyday depending on how much stuff they have to do that day like sport days they have 1 chore and the others they have 2 at most 3 but they are small quick things. i think the amount of chores you give should be determend by their schedule that day. on weekends we work as a whole and do the things that got left out during the week.
