My little one is very stubborn as well... i just try to find things that he likes, and try to do things the way he likes but yet it still works for me!

3 is a fun, yet terrible time! I agree with picking your battles. Consistency is so important. It will get better but you need to stick to your guns! If she's doing something and you tell her to stop or she will get a consequence - you must follow thru. I've been there once already and am going thru it with my 3 year old neice who comes over to my house everyday.
FYI - 4 and 5 years of age are a little easier!

hi Anshu I work in a kindy in australia with 4yr olds, and I have to tell you some of the children are very stubborn. I also work with children with autism and language disorders and these children dig their heels in! I also have three children who are very strong willed and bright. The most important thing I can say to you is pick your battles! Once you decide what your battle is DO NOT GIVE IN!!! You can compromise, negotiate and take toys away but you must win the battle. Your daughter will not like it at first but in the end she will learn. Be fair and consistant this is the key and LOTS of praise and love when she does the right thing. good luck!

it depends what she's being stubborn about that bothers you the most....distraction techniques/sticker charts/time out step it depends what works best for you both. but its probably easier to concentrate on the one area that bothers u the most eg getting dressed or mealtimes and not worry too much anout other things or your day becomes a constant battle!
