My daughter just started kindergarten last week.I picked her up early during her lunch Yesterday, I found her crying by herself in the corner of the playground . I went running to her and asked her what was wrong. She told me that nobody wanted to play with her. I asked the lady that was on duty why was my daughter crying and she told me that was normal that she cries every single day at lunch. I don't know what to do... this is so heartbreaking.

so what you need to do is observe what is going on. Is it that no one will play with her, or that she can't get up the nerve to go ask to be included? Kindy is a hard time for kids. They're learning how to socialize, and treading the waters of this whole new, different world.

Perhaps start with a conversation with the teacher. Find out how her interpersonal communication is going, if she's outgoing in class, if she seems to have friends in the classroom, etc. Friends in the classroom translates to friends on the playground. If she's not making connections, she needs to be gently shown how. At the Kindy age, it's not quite as obvious as it is to older kids, but there's the advantage that she isn't trying to break into a group of besties that's been friends for years (such as a 5th or 6th grader moving to a new school, for example)

Volunteer in the classroom. See with your own eyes what's going on, and that will help you develop solutions.
