My 7 year old goes to bed at a decent hour usually between 8:30 and 9 but she is always up when my husband gets up around 3:30 am so she is probasbly waking up way early also a couple of times I have gotten up around midnight cause my son woke me up and she was awake so she may be waking up that early everyday. And she will not sleep at all the rest of the day until bedtime and so all day she is whinning. Anyone have any suggestions on what I could do?

Do you have her in maybe a dance class or maybe soccer? She might have a huge energy pocket....Maybe even try and looking at her diet, sometimes they intake alot of starch/sugars, which fuel the lil ones. One thing that i have found, it's completely natural, it's called "sleepytime tea". You can find it in the grocery store. I've found for difficult nights, after dinner, make them a warm cup for "desert", bubble bath, and about a half hour later they are way more then ready to go to sleep and they will sleep for 6-8's perfectly safe for everyone in the house, even I drink a cup every now and then to help me relax especially when I'm stressed.
