OBSESSED with being first or last to do something

My daughter *5* and son *4* both started school this year, and I don't know if that has anything to do with it, but as of the past couple months they fight over who bathes last or who gets the cup in the middle or who sits where. Its squabbling I know, but is there some reason that I'm missing for them doing it? There's an older sister thats 9 that they don't fight with but the two of them just can't seem to coexist!! Oh yeah and they both cry about it if they don't get their way. I don't feed into it, in fact, I tell them they have to take turns who's turn it is but they still bawl their eyes out. Help please? Advice, suggestions on what I should do, something!!

I thought I was the only one. I have a 5 and 6 year old(about to be 7) both girls. They are like that too. So When I can I put it on the calender who is to go first today.i.e one takes shower 1 st today the other the next day. If it is something I dont have done that way I make them pick a number between one and ten. Whoever is closer that person can go 1st or last which ever they choose. I told them this is fair way to do it. They have no fights then and they love to play the game.At first the one that didnt pick the right number would get mad and cry but I would stick to it and tell them that was the fairest way to do it. Now now fighting. On to the next challenge.

I have 4 children. the older tow r 6 and 7. They do what urs do all the time. I use time outs when it gets bad, judt so they can calm down that stops mine. Because i split them up for a few mins theyer no longer annoyed with eachother. hope this helps i totaly understand how u feel when they start.
