school lunch ideas

I would love to pack lots of raw/cooked vegetables in a box and then to open up the lunch box after school to find them all eaten, but that's never going to happen with my Daughter.

I'm running out of healthy ideas for my Daughters lunch box that are interesting and healthy(AND SHE"S ONLY STARTED SCHOOL!!).

I try to pack a lot of healthy choices but they always seem to come back almost always untouched.

What are the healthy choices that you pack in your child's lunch box? I need ideas!

We make wraps with green (spinach) tortillas, spread with cream cheese, add sliced cheese, thin sliced cucumber, thin slices tomatos, and sneak in a few leaves of spinach. Roll them up tight (you may have to spread some cream cheese on the back sides to get them to stay rolled), then cut into bite sized rolls. My whole family loves these!

Also, with raw veggies, I find when I send a small side of ranch or peanut butter for dipping it helps get those veggies down easier... Good luck!

Have you tried things like bright colored bell peppers? I have a child who loves veggies but she likes the "stop light" bell peppers best.

my son likes to bring hummus and raw veggies or hummus and crackers... hummus pita packed with veggies..he doesn't eat meat so the typical sandwich thing is out

positve reinforcement! if she does not like the veggies try fruits such as apples, grapes, etc. try to find a way to reward her eating the healthy stuff whether it be a candy bar at the end of the week or a toy from the dollar store, or let her stay up an hour later then her normal bedtime on the weekend. just be positive! and patient!
