My daughter is eight, and has a problem sleeping.

We have tried everything... but it doesn't matter, whatever we do she will not fall asleep before 21.30 - 10.00.

Not good when you have to get up for school the next morning

Tips anyone??

My son who is now 11 was having problems too and so his sleep pattern was not good, so he would wake up tired. He would also sleep walk at times too. I noticed this was affecting school and everything. His pediatrician has him on Melatonin, which is a natural sleep aide. I give him one 3mg chewable lozenge about 20 minutes before bed time and he is ready to go to bed then and sleeps better. I buy the NOW brand at Richards wholesale foods. there are 90 lozenges to a bottle. I started out on 1/2 a tablet to see how he did on this first and found that a whole tablet at his age is better. His younger brother started the same deal and so he now takes one before bed too.

Kind of like the fishtank...I play classical music. It started out as a timer/reminder that "it's X o' clock, time to get in bed" and now they are so used to it that they'll actually ask for it to help them fall asleep.

my daughter is six going on seven and she just recently started to not go to bed at night till real late we tried so many things that didnt work and one night she looked out her door to the fish tank and asked if she could watch it .. no more then ten min later she was out cold . so we put a little tank in her room to watch, and she sleeps at night . just an idea a strange one but hey it worked lol
