I know this is long over due, but seeing that we are now fast approaching the 30,000 mark (and proud of it), I would like to say......\r\n\r\nHi and welcome. :D\r\n\r\nMy name is Jeanette and I\'ll be your, crazy due to lack of sleep, admin for as long as I am a member of Circle of Moms. I am a mother of 3, all under the age of 7.\r\nEverything is a new and strange adventure when it comes to you and your child entering a new stage in their life. It can be hard and sometimes overwhelming, especially when dealing with more than one child. It is wonderful to have so many willing to help one another and I am elated to see the board so active.\r\n\r\nTo anyone new at this, please feel free to start a new thread and post a response to others. This community is all about our new adventures and our past experiences of raising children ages four and up. \r\n\r\nI only ask that everyone be kind, caring, respectful and helpful to all. I hope everyone enjoys this community as much as I do. Have fun and meet new people. I’m looking forward to chatting with everyone.\r\n\r\n\r\nJean

I'm a grandmother raising a granddaughter for five years now. she is a bright and beautiful child. She just had her ninth birthday and her loving, cheerful personality has changed . She is always angry or sad. When I try to talk with her about her emotions, I get " You don't understand". I want to understand. Any suggestions?

My name is Samantha,

I'm struggling trying to ind a solution for after-school care for son who has Adhd and is n the Autism Spectrum. He is unable to walk regular and is afraid to attend the pediatric dentist. I was receiving assistance in Forsyth county yet relocated to the Guilford county area. I would ke an education advisor to guide in the right direcrion yet I don't have a clue a to where to look.

Hi
Im Steffy, a SAHM down in Auckland, New Zealand with two school aged boys. Havent been on circle of moms for ages.
Im very laid back, tattooed, smoking, drinking, swearing - everything you were warned about LOL! We are nude round the house all year round, although I do practice a bit of bondage, which means I wear leather occasionally, and we are barefoot everywhere, including out in public.
Love to hear from you

I have a little girl named Helena she'll be 6 on the 9th of June. She a very smart and highly affectionate. She on reading level E and most children by the end of kindergarten Is on level D. But my problem is she is easily provoked. She blurts out loud when she excited or angry. I have two older children with ADHD and ODD which one has anxiety depression and one has mild intellectual processing delays. Both have IEP's but the teacher said Helena knows at least 80 of her sight words which average her age is 30. Great in science and math, and spot on memory of what she had read or the teacher read. But she behavior being easily provoked, blurting out loud, hurting others, made the teacher send her home with a behavior chart. I have my other children on special diet, like no additives, colors, processed foods, hydrogenated corn syrup or high-fructose corn syrup no MSG, no gluten and I usually feed the whole family this. But I buy more herbal supplements for my ADHD kids. I was just wondering if there's an herbal supplement that helps with temperamental behavior problems?

I am a mother of two children: Lina - Lanya .When I started taking my children to school, I noticed that one of the parents would always be talking about how she uses her iPad for educational purposes. I talked to her to get some advice and a recommendation for an app to help develop my children’s counting.Through her I found DabaDabakids, an interactive 3D pop-up book for toddlers and preschoolers, exactly what I needed. The app just like a real book, allows for page turning. The pages appear as interactive pop-up scenes and focus on learning numbers from 1 to 10, whilst reinforcing the concepts through fun mini games.Besides just learning how to count, the app also reinforces knowledge of colours and will help your child recognise animals. It also helps in the sharpening of motor skills through tapping, smudging and dragging objects on the screen. The primary functions of the app have been phenomenal for my kids.Furthermore the option of changing the language is a great addition for anybody looking to raise their children in a bilingual environment. As a mother I would highly recommend making use of modern day technology to revamp how we teach.

Many parents have children labeled with Add or ADHD, Here is a test for the Indigo's that I ask you please look at. If you resonate with this, i and others will be answering the questions as to why, and create a book, you are welcome to join in if you wish. Thanks Lisa

Indigo Child Test

1. Does your child expect to be treated as an equal instead of a child?

2. Is your child easily, emotionally triggered?

3. Does your child have difficulty with discipline and authority?

4. Is your child frustrated with ritual-oriented systems that require little creativity?

5. Does your child have a gentle, sensitive, spirit and caring heart?

6. Does your child have food or environmental sensitivities?

7. Does your child dislike being rushed or not seem to have a sense of time in a traditional way?

8. Does your child have an interest in spiritual things?

9. Does your child appear to be an old soul or wise beyond their years?

10. Does your child seem to have a very creative imagination or to be a daydreamer?

11. Did your child come into the world with an attitude?

12. Does your child refuse to do certain things they are told to do?

13. Is your child a non-conformist?

14. Does your child see better ways of doing things at home and at school?

15. Is homework a source of conflict in your home?

16. Does your child appear to have a short attention span and at other times incredible focus?

17. Is your child particularly creative in areas of art, music, science and/or technology?

18. Does your child display intuition or knowledge of things that are unexplainable?

19. Did your child display an early ability and desire to learn and appear to be very intelligent in some areas?

20. Does your child talk to or about “imaginary” friends or see things that you cannot?

21. Does your child refuse to respond to parenting techniques that were used on you as a child?

22. Does your child have a strong interest in the environment and other living creatures?

23. Does your child have trouble getting to sleep or have night terrors?

If you answered yes to more than 14 questions you are probably parenting an Indigo or are an Indigo. If your score is above 19 you are almost definitely parenting an Indigo Child. This Quiz in has been developed from a combination of people including: Lee Carol, Jan Tober, Doreen Virtue, Jan Yordy, and Vicki Lass.

3 Waves of Indigo Children who are Awakening

July 22, 2013
From the Comfort of Your Home
With or Webinar
7:00 – 9:00

So many people are going through physical, emotional, mental and spiritual ups and downs

I call this the growing pains of the Awakening. You know whom I am speaking to, those of us who have always felt as loners, teens angry at their parents for not understanding, physical pain with no explanation, waking up at 3:30, feeling fearful, anxious or panic for no reason.

You are most likely an Indigo Child

You will hear the traits of an indigo right from an Indigo. Psychic Experiences and physical experiences during this time period and I do welcome questions at the end. i have 2 hrs.’ listed, but will go longer. Here about the awakening and how will affect you.. Guidance and answers for the parents. If you live in NJ, I will be holding a group support at the Crystal Healing Center in Denville on Tuesday, 7-9 pm.

Includes topics such as and much more:
• 3 Waves of Indigos Traits of an Indigo
• The Sensitivity of an indigo
• Should you drug an indigo
• How to raise an indigo child
• The importance of keeping the energy clear and high in a home
• The importance of crystals
• the awakening period and what the Physical, Emotional, Mental and Spiritual Traits
Bring your questions

Hello, my name is Shayna and I am the mother of a 6.5 year old son. He has Aspergers, ADHD, and some learning disabilities, but he's blossoming. We moved to North Dakota in September of 2011 and he was tested at 55% understandability for language; he is now closing in at 80%. I couldn't be more proud of him. He is smart, funny, has a great sense of humor, but he does have limitations, just like any child, or person, for that matter.

I would love another child in the future and I cannot wait until that happens.

Hello, I am new to the site and mostly read comments. I don't always post, but I should more, because many times I feel alone in raising "an only" child. I too am an only and my husband and I don't always see eye to eye on raising our only son. He has 2 siblings and doesn't understand the feelings I have.

I am a DAD. I feel as though I do all of the same things as a mom, other than the obvious anantomical and motherly related differences. I work full time in the Army healthcare field and my wife is a full time mother. We have 2 girls, 4 and 1, and another girl on the way in March 2013.
