What is the best and most easiest way to get baby off the breast and on to the bottle?

Taneshia is right. Your baby has associated you with the flavor of breast milk as well as the feel and smell, etc... You can mix formula or milk (depending on what stage you're at) with some breast milk and amend the proportions. (i.e. 70% breast milk / 30% "other", then 50%/50% and so on). It won't take long... just let someone else give him/her the bottle as much as you can help it during the transition in the beginning. They've made nipples for bottles that "feel like mom", but that only works if your baby doesn't know any better! =) To them its a drastic change - at first. You also, at some point, need to realize that he/she *WILL* eat when he/she gets hungry. I'm not suggesting you starve him/her into using the bottle, but it may take some extra effort and time. Think back to when you first started breast feeding... it was probably something of a challenge, but you obviously made it work... GOOD LUCK!!!! =)

I breast fed my son until the night of his first b day, that was his last feeding from "mom" he went straight to cows milk after that, truth be told I had a harder time giving it up then him!! It was a nice end to the day.

i had to let their dad feed them the bottle, none of my sons would take a bottle from me at all! either dad or grandparents. express a little milk out the bottle into mouth so they baby will know thats whats in the bottle also. hope this helps somewhat
