Where can I find plus size clothes for stepdaughter size 18 or 20?

I'm looking for plus sized clothing for my 9-year-old niece. She has a 39 inch waist is 52" tall. I don't think she can even wear a 20 plus in girls sizes anymore. Has anyone found a place that sells youthful looking clothes in larger sizes that a 20 plus? We are taking her to Disney World next month and I've got to find her some clothes. I did find a website called jeenybeens.com but the styles are not up to date. Help!!

I am pretty sure any normal dept. store carries those sizes very easily. I don't know of any stores other than fancy stores in the mall that doesn't carry plus sizes.

Hi, Lisa. I'm sorry you have this dilemma. I had the same one growing up, and my Grandmother, God Bless her, sewed all my clothes. (Of course, that was in the late 70's, so there were lots of 'groovy' blouses and double-knit Polly pants!)

These days, your beautiful girl has many more options, thank goodness. Online, One Stop Plus is pretty good. Shop the clearance section for great deals. The Avenue is more sporty. Catherines is my favorite...a little more mature, and spendy but a great place for classic dresses, bras and coats. She can get well-made basics, and jazz them up according to her style. Cute pajama bottoms! No, I haven't worn them to WalMart, but I'm tempted. (Ha.) Speaking of... Walmart has a decent plus-size section. Not a lot for long-torsoed Amazons like yours truly, but sizes 18-20 have much better options. Good luck, and don't forget Ross!

Take care!

other than Lane Bryant, JC Penney, Ashley Stewart (love!), Old Navy...I'd definitely say stop by consignment stores for women - I have found some really great deals on clothes that, at the stores I named above (esp Lane Bryant) would've cost me a lot more! Good luck! How old is your stepdaughter? It's hard to find affordable clothes in our size (in my opinion, I may be cheap though), but they are making far more options for our size.
