My daughter is 5 and this year is her 1st. yr. in kindegarden and she is very smart and knows alot. I have spent alot of time with her to know what she knows, but when she comes home from school I get fustrated with her cause she acts like she dont know anything, like she wants me to do everything for her. But when i speak to her teacher she is so different in school. who has the same problem

When my son started kindergarten he did the same thing to some degree. I think it was the transition and wanting more time with me after school. Transitioning from daycare or home to school can be a big adjustment. I sat with him while he did it at first (didn't do it for him), then went to doing dishes while still talking to him while he did it, and it didn't take real long before he'd come home & want to get it done so we could do something more fun together. Good luck :)

Don't do the work for her. If her teacher sees that she is capable, give her the confidence to do the work herself.
