I started scrapbooking so that my kids would know about their childhood as my Mom passed away when I was in my teens and I really don't have anyone to ask when I took my first steps etc.

Plus I enjoy being creative and making masterpieces (well not quite but as close as I can get).

Enjoy all.

PS I acquire alot of my scrapbooking supplies from dollar stores.

I do agree you get what you pay for. I have yet to invest in any punches or the fabulous CM cutting system. It's mostly just little knick knack stencils and embellishments.

I'm so jealous of you profile photo. Having 2 kids 14 months apart and at 2 & 3, I don't think I'll be travelling any time soon. Looks like you have an older helper around the house. That must be nice.

Take care

Hi Denise! I am a Creative memories consultant and have been scrapping for about 10 years. What drew me to scrapbooking is exactly what you mentioned for your reasons for scrapping! My mom died when I was 11 and I don't remember much about my childhood, or from being a baby and I so fiercely want my kids to know their family story, the great and fun things we did together, and most importantly, how very much they are loved! Scrapbooking is a great way to build a child's self esteem, too! I would caution you about buying all of your scrap supplies from the dollar store, you really do get what you pay for sometimes, and I know that when I have used the cheaper items, they do not last as long and the quality is not as good. I consider it an investment and I really do want these scrapbooks etc to last forever! Good luck and enjoy your scrapping!!!
