I have so many pictures that I don't know what to do with them. I am severely behind in scrapbooking. I am trying to figure out the choose a select number of photos to tell the story. I have tons of paper supplies but it's overwhelming to me. Also, I have limited time so trying to figure out a way to try and get at least a spread done a week. Any suggestions?

start by compiling the pictures of each event or time frame. Spend a couple hours cropping the pictures down from one event (ie beach day) or timeframe (ie summer). Then pick out a few colors in the pictures you want to pull out, that is when you pick out the papers. Once you finish that event or time frame you will feel like you have accomplished something and can move on to the next.

Yeah sounds like you are overwhelmed! I try to get organized and sometimes it takes me longer to get organized then it does to do a layout. I would first put your pictures in order if you haven't already. Group them by activity, time frame, etc. Once I do that I look at what I have to use. Most important is the paper. I will scrap the pictures onto the paper and go and buy stickers or something if I need it later.

After I have the pictures in order and look at my supplies I go back to the pictures to figure out which ones I want to scrap. I tend to scrap about 50-75% of the pictures that I print out. Remember you don't have to scrap every picture! Sometimes I use the extra ones to make gifts for the grandparents.

Everyone is different. There are times that I go 6 months without scrapping. Then I will get the scrapbook fever and do a bunch or at least get to working on it again. Don't feel like you have to do a layout a week. Do it whenever you feel creative. You will eventually get caught up! I hope this helps a little bit :)
