You are off the a great start! The way I start is by choosing what background paper I want. Usually something that goes with the colors in the pictures I am scrapping at the moment. Then I go through my junk and find the embellishments that will go with the theme of the pictures. This is where your stickers come in. Then I arrange it all on the page without gluing anything down so I can keep moving it till "it feels right" . So really you can never do it wrong but if you feel you are just sticking to stickers too much take a shot in the dark and the next time you are at your local scrap store buy some eyelet or a circle punch or some ribbon and flowers are also huge right now! That also tends to keep you excited about the next time you scrapbook!

Well, I made my first scrapbook after my daughter was born. I just used a kit that came with backgrounds, stickers, and everything because I thought maybe that would help me get my feet wet. That scrapbook turned out okay. It's an obvious first effort but I still think it looks better than putting the pics in an old photo album, right?

I then didn't go the kit route and I got big backgrounds and lots of stickers. I plan the layout more than the design. I guess right now I am getting too comfortable with stickers and I want ideas on stuff. I am currently on my 3rd scrapbook ever.

Well what kind of stuff are you working on right now? Then we can help you with some of that mabey? I find that most people are better than they say they are when it comes to scrapping!
