I sure love to scrapbook but have found that I don't have the time since I have had a baby. When I was at home with him it was a little easier, but since I have went back to work it's impossible! Maybe I can have more time to do so soon.

thanks for all the cool information on digital scrapbooking. It's sounds great. I have never tried it b/c it looked intimidating. I guess everything new is intimidating the first time unless you have someone show you or you can figure it out on your own. I did have a scrapbooking room myselt and loved it but hardly got in there. Now there's a baby and everything is boxed up for right now. We are in the process of finishing out basement and I should have a room soon! Everything is in my dining room right now. When I was at home, I had more time and could do it during the day or at night when I couldn't sleep! It was fun and I got alot done!

Jenny...I use Scrapbook Factory Deluex. It is really easy to use. It cost like 30 bucks to buy. I got mine at Amazon.com. Then there is a site called. www.digifree.blogspot.com and this lady lists free downloads daily. So I just download the packs I like and then create my pages in SFD. All you do is drag and drop them in SFD. Then i blog my scrapbook pages. Then every three months I put them in my book and it is great!! I just like the free part in it all. Never heard of How they Grow. I will check them out.

Start with a layout book or an idea book. They give you great ideas and often step by step guides until you find your footing!
Once you get started, you'll be addicted thats for sure!

I have the time to scrapbook but find it hard to do. I am a first time scrapbooker and I just don't know where to start. Where do you start? I love to scrapbook soon. Would love to get any ideas you may have on this. Is there anyone that has great ideas on how I can get started! I'd appreciate it.

Don't give up! Depending on how old your baby is, you will probably get to a point when you both have worked out a routine that allows time for vegging and time for scrapping. Until that time, keep your pictures in albums, organized, and when you get a chance swing by Micheal's or something and grab some of those plug and chug sets that you can just stick your 4x6s in. That's the easiest way to get back into it and then when you do work out more time for yourself you can get back to the artsy-fartsy super crafty stuff. It is so worth it-- my kids are 2 and three and they love looking at their books. My daughter calls it the "Naomi Story" and she reads it to any visitors who sit still long enough!

I hear ya Erin. I use to have a room dedicated to my crafts. But the more kids we had the less room I had. By the time I got everything out I was unmotivated to do anything. Seriously it is a whole new world with digital scrapbooking. There are all kinds of website with free papers, embelishments etc...you just have to download the. I have a software but you can go to. www.scrapblog.com and it is a free software to use. You can use premade layouts or create your own. You can even send them to kinkos and have them print them and then put them in the plastic sleeve like normal.

I am exactly the same way.
And if I do have time I usually just want to vege on the couch with my husband :oP
I'm finding it very hard to get motivated to drag my massive collection of scrap stuff, and knuckle down. Is anyone else feeling that way?
Oh, my son is 3 months old!

I have found the world of digital scrapbooking and it is amazing!! No clean up and you can use the stuff over and over again. I love it. I am able to catch up on my scrapbooking. Then I use a website called Blurb and have then put in a hardbound book. It is pretty awesome. Let me know if you want details.

I suspect that will be me too. I have twins who are just turning 1 and will be back to work full time in January....don't see how I can fit in my scrapbooking for a while although I cut my photos when I have time and just put them into a album with slide pockets so when I have time to do scrapbooking again, many of my photos will be cropped and ready to put into a scrapbook album.
