Anyone else out there with a special needs kiddo? Our little guy has a genetic syndrome, is on the spectrum, and has intellectual delays.

my daughter has intellectual and developmental delay due to lead posioning when i was pregnant her lead level was 20 they said i could have lost her because I didnt know till her 1 yr check up that she had it and how high it was. I had it my older daughter had it slightly elevated. But Abigial she goes for occupational theraphy she has a coordination disorder along with mental delays and she has a learning disability and speech disorder. Irritates me when people say "Oh why don't you just make her do this or that she can do it if u tell her to" I just want to punch someone tbh I never had the test done with either of my pregnacys because to me it doesn't matter if there is something wrong I will still love them unconditionally no matter what. Children are a blessing is how i feel about it

Hi my son is down syndrome and has development delays but he had a brain bleed at 7 days old which caused him to have cerabel palsy and sensory disorder and other disabilities.. its funny everyone one says to me it must be hard caring for him I reply its not when you do it every day its normal for me lol sometimes I don't understand people.. I never had that test when your pregnant I told the doctor why? Ide keep it anyway... when I had Kaleb I went in for my check up the doctor said ..I'm so sorry. I look at him and said what for? He looked shocked lol then he responded well you had a down syndrome baby.. I was furious ...I looked at him and said you know what ? It doesn't matter he could of come out with no arm and legs ide still love him your a fool! And walked out...the people next door to us are disabled adults I was told by one of the caretakers they went to a restraint and an older lady came up to her and stated... you shouldn't be bringing these sorts out in public ...I wish I was there ! Sorry for venting I'm really disappointed in some people they just are so unaware at what blessings these children and adults are.. my son has his moments as all of us do but he is very loving my oldest 13 won't hug me anymore ..I guess age and stage ...but my downs kiddo does he gives me hugs whenever I need one and he's 11. Kids with special needs are great.. challenging at times but awesome!
