birthday party

I am planning to have my daughter's first birthday party just for her, but I am wondering what you all think about having combination parties with older brother in the future. They are 3 years apart.

for you as the parent great to combine parties.
But...speaking as someone who has shared parties their whole life, it sucks. 4 members of my family have october birthdays, my father, myself, my sister who is 2 years younger than me and my brother who is 11 years younger. I always wanted my special day and seemed to get forgotten or so I felt. To make it worse alot of people then thought they could buy a combined present for us all to share!! there is nothing that all 3 of us kids all liked and no one wants to share a birthday present.

Sure, why not??? The only thing I would suggest is two different cakes and two different "Happy Birthday to you" songs and candle-blowing. But aside from that, you will more likely have almost everyone you invite attend one party rather than two.
