Not eating fruits...

Hi, Im having a hard time getting my 6 month old to eat fruits and applesauce. He eats veggies very well and mashed potatoes but doesnt like fruits. I dont know if its the sweetness of the fruits or what it may be. He is breast fed so I figured he would like the fruits better then the veggies because breastmilk is sweet. He drinks juice. Is anyone else having this problem? What can I do to get him to eat fruit?

Im having the same problem. He loves loves loves his veggies and cereal but hates hates hates the fruits. He too is breastfed. I dont know what the problem is. When i first tried fruits on him it was a breakfast and he wouldnt eat his cereal for about a week. I think he thought he was getting fruit again. I keep trying fruit every onces in awhile and he wont take it at all. I had no problems when i started him on cereal and veggies. He doesnt get juice though. I just keep giving him the cereal and veggies and dont worry about the fruit that much. At least he is eating.

I am having the opposite problem. My daughter LOVES fruit but won't eat the veggies!! I will continue to try but every dinner time it's a struggle.

I read somewhere that it can take between 10 and 15 tries before the baby makes up his mind about whether he likes something or not.  I would wait a week and try again.  Maybe a mlder-tasting fruit like avocado?  Good luck!
