He'll be able to stay dry when he's able to stay dry. Sometimes children don't wanna work on our schedule. Shitty beans.....buy some more diapers!

Haha! That was harsh, but you know what I mean. I'm in the same boat with my daughter. She does wonderfully during the daytime, but I just bought another box of diapers and accepted the fact that she has NEVER stayed dry through the night. I think I'll take Melody's advice and wait a lil' longer before I stress and alert the doctor. I think our kids are pretty normal. Everyone I've talked to says their children wore diapers to bed until 3, and beyond.

its not unusual fo rkids to be 3 or 4 before they are potty trined. but if she knows what going potty is then maybe you have to revert back to the beginning. start making her go when you think its necessary instead of asking her. then when she goes make a huge deal out of it. do the dance, clap, give her treats, anything to get her really excited that she went potty. my son will sometimes pee his pants still because he holds it as long as possible when hes having fun, so i start to do this and it gets him right back on track. hop ethis was helpful :)

I agree with the other moms, I wouldn't worry about it. I've always read that potty training during the day and overnight training are often two completely different milestones. I was very fortunate in that my daughter had only one overnight accident after being potty trained, but her cousin that is a year older than her still has to wear pull-ups at night...it's just different for every child! Best of luck. :)

Only time will help. their bladders are not big enough or strong enough to go the whole night. They all develop at different times but rest assure he'll be just fine. My son was almost 4 till I gave up on the night pull-ups. My friends daughter was 5. If he's much older and your worried ask your Dr.

You might not be able to get him dry through the night for a good long while. Depending on the child some are as old as 9 before their bladders are finished developing and their bodies recognize the urge to get up and go.

I wish I could tell you an easy fix, but this one is really more about his body growing.

His body just might not be ready for it. I wouldn't worry about it so bad yet. If he gets past 4 and still has problems, maybe he would need to see a doc.
