Why won't my daughter eat finger foods??

This is driving me crazy! My daughter will eat 3 to 4 spoon-fed meals a day along with 4 or 5 bottles. Eating has never been an issue for her except when it comes to finger foods. EVERYTHING that my daughter gets her hands on goes straight into her mouth but when she picks up something that she's SUPPOSED to eat, she plays with or just looks at it like she's not sure what to do. And she DOES know what to do! She will gladly eat the finger foods if I pick them up with MY fingers and give them to her. I'm not sure how to get her to strike up an independence with eating and I can't find anything about it online. I hope someone can help with this. :/

I can't help you out with that. Mine ONLY wants to eat finger foods. she won't touch baby food anymore. The only problem with that is, she chokes on a lot of it. she doesn't chew it good enough. No matter how small I make the pieces she will gag on them. The only thing i would do is not feed her baby food at her normal times and just leave the finger foods sit in front of her. I would think she will eventually eat them if she's hungry.
