Going through custody issues with my ex, my son is 16 this month. The dad and his current wife has alcohol issues and drug issues. My son wants to live with his dad, no rules. I sued for contempt of court in June. He owed $10k in arrears. Won that, now having to fight for custody. It's tough.

I took my daughter's father for support last year. Then dropped it. He was paying fairly well until he lost his job, then it became $50 a month or less... Now, I took him back for the second time, since he owed her over $2K in support. Thankfully, I was able to handle the big things on my own, but I still need help and would like to not have to borrow from family, etc. I told him I'm not dropping it this time, so I hope everything works out....

But I feel guilty sometimes. I wish I didn't. I know in my heart he's a good guy, or he and I never would've been together, but he's been suck a jerk for the last few months, yet I still feel bad. Granted, that's exactly what he wants and tries to make me feel constantly.

IDK, just venting, sorry...

yep! my ex has decided that since he wants nothing to do with my daughter, and i want nothing to do with him, that he shouldn't have to pay child support. thankfully i'm in a position where i don't NEED the money (though it sure would be nice). i'm still chasing it up though. so far he's returning their mail, and refusing their phone calls! i'm not sure what it's like where you're from, but in australia they have the power to take it out of their tax returns, so pretty much if worst comes to worst i'll get one lump sum payment instead of fortnitely payments. good luck everyone!

Funny thing is we our all in the same boat and I've been waiting on child support from 9-4-08 and still no luck, he keeps taking me back to court and now he has a new baby and doesn't want to pay he wants to get are daughter 50/50 so he can pay less child support. All I can say is hang in there!!! Your not alone!!!
