Well I just got a phone call today from the Texas Attorney General Child Support office for my area and the news is NOT what I need right now. After been screwed over and having my case delayed because they "forgot" I had a HUGE packet to fill out to send to Louisiana. In Oct I filled all of the packet out and they sent it to Louisiana, in Nov LA had an appointment with "SD", well appearently they decided that nothing was important and now EVERYTHING is continuing to fall apart. "SD" has now been deployed to Iraq and so because of that both Texas and Louisiana have put my CS on hold until he comes home from Iraq and hopefully he does. After everything that "SD" has put me through now this and things are all ready really tough around here and now he is getting off without taking care of what he has done. The money wouldnt be such an issue the one thing I really want for my dd is Health Insurance and well he doesnt pay for his and my job doesnt offer health insurance. Now I just dont know what to do. :( Any advice on what to do?

Soo you said he's being deployed? So I'm ASSUMING he's in the military I was married to a Navy man for 6yrs and when our daughter was born she was enrolled in Tricare which is military insurance and you should be able to do that being as he is the bio father in the miltary. This Link Might Help Also Good Luck :)

My daughter has been on state funded insurance but because of my new job and how much I will make they have denied my renewal for her. The other issue is that I have not been with my company long enough to get insurance yet.

I'm sorry to hear about your problems. I'm still trying to figure out how to get my sons dad to pay his child support. Good luck with that. As far as health insurance...most states offer free health insurance to children of low-income moms. You just contact your department of social services and they should help you. My son was on it when he was first born (in WA) I know it differs from state to state, but definetly look into it. There's usually a form to fill out, and you have to proove income, but it's worth it. Good Luck
