Any Single mom's faced eviction before?

Hi I am a single mom with a 10 yr old daughter that is facing eviction and don't know what to do. In February I moved into my home with my then fiance now ex and in March I was involved in Domestic violence and had to make him leave. At that time he was the primary income holder and the only car. When he moved out I had to make the payments and I had a roommate move in but that was a lost cause. She moved out unexpectantly. Now I am stranded here with no car, no income other than food stamps and now cash assistance as of yesterday and now facing eviction.

I want to work but I am not on a main bus line to get anywhere and have to relie on other people. Once I get my eviction papers I am going to go to the welfare to get help but that is just temp not a long time fix. I am trying to make the decision to go ahead and move and move into a shelter or try hard and stay here. I can not afford this place on my own. I have tried to get another roommate but it is not working. I can't get help with welfare to get a car because I don't have a car.

I have put my trust into the Lord to help me but I am scared to go to a shelter since my daughter has medical issues and my family is not able to provide a home for us.

Any suggestions on what to do?

What state do you live in? Have you looked online for resources? You can go to your state office, let them know your financial issues and your child's medical issues. There is assistance for mothers with the problems that you are facing. You are not alone! Let them know your story, that you have no where else to go. I will keep you in my thoughts! Hope that everything works out for you hun!

Yes, I have been evicted along with my kids. I was able to move into an apartment that is income based with my kids in my city. I am on unemployment right now because I lost my job, but I am lucky because my boys' dad is giving me child support. I don't know what state you live in, but there are online resources. Each state has agencies that can help you. The Catholic Charities or any church may be able to assist you as well. The state should be able to give you help for child's medical problems. If you can, try to move where you can get around on the bus. That's what I do and my boys too. Don't give up, there is help out there.

No, but I know is the worst thing that can happen to a single mom, because you will have to start from zero
