Child Support

Does anyone have any tips on getting child support enforced when the father is constantly telling the child support office he isn't working (but is a barber, so don't have to show proof until irs catch him)? The child support workers continue to try to work out deals with him to either pay small amounts to keep him from going to jail or to get license back but that's only when we have to go back to work does he try to work that out. The support is never paid on a regular basis and I don't know what to do and can't afford money for a lawyer. I have full custody and don't wouldn't mind him having visitation rights but when constantly lies to my daughter about coming to get her and never does. Any suggestions will help!

The courts will find him and charge him and then he will either pay or go to jail. After a certain dollar amount, Federal steps in and he will no longer be able to renew his DL, fishing license or hunting license.

Some states allow the judge to require dad to have a mandatory reportable job, hope your state is one of them.

IRS and your state will send you his child support if/when he has a tax return.

It is too bad there is no way to insure your child can get what is owed to them.
