Dad only trying to get joint custody to not pay child support

Hi I'm new to the site. I have a daughter who turns 3 this month. Her father and I split back in December and have been in a custody battle since then. He was a lazy dad while we were together and now it's even worse. We have an arrangement of half the week each with alternating Saturday's. He only wants this so he can pay as little child support as possible. He just drops her off at his mother's during his days. He's vindictive and trying to drag all this out hoping I'll just sign the agreement cause I can't keep affording an attorney while his parents pay for his. I'm beyond stressed between all this going on, work, the terrible twos/threes I need other mom's to talk to who understand.

Hi Ashley. I'm sorry you are going through this. What kind of support has your lawyer been? My suggestion would be to keep a journal so you have a record of his involvement with his daughter. Also, I don't know your financial situation, but would he be more agreeable with the custody agreement if you give up some of the child support? Just some thoughts. They helped me in my battle. I have full custody while he has some visitation rights with no child support. Good luck girl, you are stronger than you feel. Stay strong.
