So, my son turned a year on the 27th and i'm completely done breast feeding now..I was wondering, mom's who have gone through this before, how long does it take for your breasts to go back to normal? How long til the milk is gone?

I only breastfeed for a month because I couldn't produce enough but I didn't stop having some leakage for a year. I talked to my doctor and I was told it has nothing to do with how long you do or how old your child is when you stop. Drying up completely has to do with your hormones. If it takes a while for you to stop, you should talk to your doctor about it.

7 months for me. One day, almost 2 years after stopping, I started leaking it again! Weirdest thing ever!

I can reply u after November 15th only. Since after that only my Daughter turns 1 yr. But I hope still I can feed her successfully. She is much interested in breast feed only rather than any other. Whatever she eats, she needs breast milk only... So I hope even after a yr my daughter wont forget the milk... :-)

Most of my friends dried up in a few months. I'm the odd ball. You know how there use to be wet nurses? Yeah, that would have been me.

Ehh, I'm not a good one to answer this one. It can take months before your milk dries up completely. Or you can be like me. I stopped breastfeeding four and a half years ago. I still make colostrum. Drives me nuts. I am finally almost dry, and it is about time!!!!
