teenagers and work are two words you dont use in the same sentence lol

my 17 yo constantly talks about finding work but will he actually get up and look... nope....

this is one thing we cant force them to do.. they will realise what they have to do when all their friends are going out and having fun and they arent because they dont have the money to do it with

goodluck

My son is also 17 and he has a job because he doesn't like being broke.  I won't give him the spending money he likes to have so he got a job.  Works for me!

I love to shop,so my mom would always say things like, "minimum wage is better than no wage. Think of all the clothes you can buy with just one paycheck!" It motivated me all the time. Just think about what he likes to do or buy, make a statement about how a job creates the income for it, let him come up with the idea of getting a job (should be sometime within your conversation), and because you didnt tell him what to do, he will be more motivated to start working

Hard for me to say because my guy is only 6. But I would not buy him anything any more. They are old enought to have a job. Heck when I was 18 I had 2 jobs and I was out of the house.

goood luck, the last thing a 17 yr old wants is a job. especially if he's in school as well,

if not in school, however, damn well he should be working, and it should be forced. get a job, pay rent, or go to school.
