How do you get FUSSY three year olds to eat more variety, my son refuses to eat anything new or helthy for him?

When my son was growing up i didn't have a cooker, he was about 2 and a half by the time i got one, by then if it wasn't baked beans he wouldn't eat it, now he's 9 and will eat everything.  The best way like Lena says is repetition, but i wouldn't give them any other options they will go hungry (sounds cruel but it works), its a lot of trying out different fruit and veg, get them to help you prepare the meals, get them touching the foods and tasting it all the time, eventually it will come to them.  Making fruit smoothies is another good way, get them cutting and tasting the fruit - strawberries and bananas is the easiest one - put it in a blender and add milk.  It is hard but persivere, the messier the better!!!

Repetition, repetition, repetition!  I often gave my son choices, but only a couple.  In addition, I usually didn't make a big deal about it.  Reverse psychology seemed to work a little bit.  It's still a battle, but over time he has improved and become more open to different foods.
