i give my daughter juice at 9 1/2 months only if she's having problems with bowl movements or to introduce in sippy cups because she has no interest in sippy cups. Getting her to drink out of a sippy cup i will give her watered down juice but only a little bit in a sippy cup. Even then she doesn't get more then 1/2 oz to an oz mixed in with water in a sippy cup and that's just to sweeten the water a bit. I will either do that or put formula in a sippy cup.

my son never liked juice until he was 15 months old and he still is very picky when it comes to what kind i give him. Since hes a big fruit eater, i've been giving him vegtable juice, which is probably healthier then more fruit juices. But water is the better choice then juice in the long run.

You can offer fresh fruits that are crushed if you're thinking about gaining her interest in that area but juice isn't something to be worried about at this age, or ever really.

I was told they don't need anything besides milk/formula until they're a year. Water or juice fills them up when they should be filling their tummites with the nutrients from food or milk. Don't worry about pushing juice yet.

i agree juice is not necessary only makes it harder later because they expect juice as long as she is having water and/or milk then dont worry about it

Does she drink water? Or milk? Juice isn't necessary. My son wasn't given juice until he was over a year old, and even then it was a very small amount of juice with water (probably about a ratio of 1 part juice to 10 parts water). At 2 I still water down his juice. Watch her diaper output, as long as she is peeing and drinking and eating other fluids she isn't going to get dehydrated (especially if she is breastfed but even so if she is on formula because most of it is water)
