My 6 month old daughter seems to be losing intrst in her toys that use to keep her occupied i.e her precious planet swing and jumper....they catch her attention for only a few moments now before she isback to crying... i was thinking maybe buying her a bright decorative matt and some toys that keep her entertained... any ideas ?

Babies easily get used to their toys and always need something new to stimulate their interest. Hand her something new to play with [ something simple like a safe plastic cup] or hide one thing under another and show her you hid it and watch her interest soar. Get her a bunch of inexpensive rattles that make different sounds and keep switching them to keep her interested. Change the music you play on your stereo - babies love classical music it calms them. Put her on the floor with new stuff and watch her play. Babies are hungry to learn new things so you keep having to keep spicing it and changing their stuff. See this is the fun part you can actually watch your babies brain grow :)
