Like every other mom will say KIDS ALWAYS TEST US!! MY 3rd oldest daughter is as stubbern as a mule. I found with her if I start the pick up time from school-about her (like what she did @ lunch) helps alot. Also try giving her a healthy snack afterschool. KIds have along time between lunch and the end of the day with out a snack -that's along time for young ones. Also try to set a routeen up. Good luck!! I know its very hard!!

Children try to push us as far as we can go.Trust me start at a young age cause i didnt and my child is 9 and im paying up for it now.A few minutes in the room wont hurt them.I have the same problem with school also but i guess its bad habits from others kids.I have had to walk out of malls and punish her for 15 minutes cause thats long enough at her age.Being a single mom i gave in because i guess the guilt hit me but my child seen that and started playing me more.I have began to be alot more strict and not giving her everything she wants and its starting to work.

Children tests us, it's their nature to do so.  If you set limits, follow through with the consequences.  If you never set limits and follow through, she will continue.  I usually give a warning first (depending on what the behavior is).  Some behaviors call for time-out (and I usually go by the child's age for the number of minutes).  Some behaviors like lying, telling me "no" over and over, or physically hurting others, I usually spank them.  I tell them why they are getting a spanking, and then I tell them I love them afterwards.  God Bless and I hope this helps a little.  ~~Gayla
