Staying Positive with kids

How do you stay positive when your kids aren't being positive? I don't think they have accepted me as a single mom and they blame me for splitting up with their father?

its hard when kids blame you for dad not being there, i have been divorced twice and my first husband left when 2 of my boys were 7 and 9..... i found that the eldest son rebelled and had a lot of anger...i contined with the normal day to day routines.. i would take them to school and pick them up.. i would take them to soccer and birthday parties.. i helped out at school and talked to them not at them.....

just keep being positive... if they say negative things to you just look at them and say thats ok but i still love you ......

maybe take them to the park or kick a ball with them.... tickle them on the lounge, have a pillow fight... do all the fun silly things with them.....

that is showing them love and they should come around...

hope this helps.....

Don't take it too hard, as your kids grow things will change. Your kids will be the ones keeping you positive eventually. Stay positive hopefully with time this won't be an issue and your kids will love you even more. It takes alot to decide a split- at the end it should be for the best. good luck
