Uncomfortable, more then painful, and on time, i knew when to expect them. But after 8.5 of them, the labour was a relief lol. I prefered the labour, but i have some friends that think differently, so it all depends on the person.

At first mine felt like she kept balling up. My belly kept getting tight...took me a while to realize they were contractions. My doctor didn explain the labor pains to me very well. They didn't feel anything like what she told me.

Hmm Ive felt cramping but nothing worse than period like cramps thats why I asked cause a few of my friends have said they had there babies after feeling that but I still havent had my baby...But a lot of people say oh you'll know but what if all I ever have is them cramps and thats my contractions then I wont know.

Mine were weird, they were kind of in my lower back. I had no idea if they were actually contractions or not, it's hard when you have never had them before to know if it is really them.. there are braxton hicks to look out for too which are false contractions.. so it's confusing!!

I started getting these pains in my lower back throbbing, on and off.. I rung the hospital and they told me they were not contractions.. but they were so painful I didn't sleep that night. Next day they were still going so I went to the hospital and they put me on a machine to read the contractions and oh my god they stopped!!! Apparently it happens a lot.. then they started up of course as soon as I got home.. all lower back still..

That night I went back to the hospital, against their suggestion that they were false contractions, coz they were sooooo painful.. turns out I was 5cm dialated and gave birth that night..

So trust your instincts!!! Mine were in the lower back coz my baby was posterior, so something to keep in mind :-)

They were very tight and tense. Kind of like cramps only much worse! They werent too bad when they started, but ounce they got closer together it was unbearable! Thank god I wasnt in labor too long before I delivered my son! I dont know how much longer I could have lasted!
