It is hard but i still wouldnt change it for nothing, but when the father isnt around from the beginning and you know that your the only one that can help him, bring him to all appointments, make sure you give him the best in life then you'll do anything. I was 17 and i was just coming to terms with being a mother (single mum), i took to being a mum pretty quick, but there is parents out there that struggle becoming parents for the first time but you know you have to get up and get on with it and then you realise its the best job ever, its just like that for me with him i didnt really know any different he's my first child, so for me its what you have to do, i do know some parents that have had 2 kids already and the 3rd child is sick and some do find it very very hard but thats natural, but for me he's my first child so i knew no different i still dont!!!

My son is nearly 5, but when he was 2 weeks old he started having seizures, which he was diagnosed with Epilepsy, then he had an MRI scan done and was told he has Polymircogria and hetertopia and the right side of the brain didnt develop properly, which effects the left side of his body, i was told that he would be mentually handicapped and may never walk, But thank god he's proved them wrong he's walking talking, he's so independant, he's a little fighter he goes to speech, physio, occupational therepy with no complaints since he was 3 months old and he's still going, he's not like most little 5 year olds, he is a little behind for he's age but thats nothing to what i was told, we do have our up's and down's, but i wouldnt change anything for the world he's my life. I count my lucky stars cause you always think your worse off and then you hear a story and you know that what were going through is nothing compared to other people thats going through a lot more then us... I always say just enjoy and Cherish everything through hard times and good times cause they do grow up so fast and come long so far!!!!
