My child has been in day care since he was 3 mo old. He is two years old and can verbally tell someone when he has to use the potty. But he doesn't. I try to put him on everyhour, but he just screams. Why would he be afraid of the toilet?

Thats funny! Peeing on food is kinda gross, and I have heard of the fruit loop trick but havent tried it yet. Thanks guys!!!

I let my kids decide themselves. It's harder when there isn't a man (not in my home anyway) to help "show" them how it's done. But sooner or later, they get it. Don't push him and don't get frustrated. It's likely he is feeling pressure and boys seem to dislike that. :) Although, I have hear the Fruit Loops suggestion before. But I never think it a good idea to pee on your food. Good luck. Post us when he's accomplished.

well start him outside peeing on tires or trees. They think it is fun that way. I had my son potty trained by the age of 2 and by the age of three he no longer wore pull-ups. And when he starts peeing and standing up put some fruit loops in the toilet and tell him to hit them. Trst me it works!!!!!
