My son is now 15 months and he has never slept through the night, he wakes up on average 3 times a night the final stint being about 4 in morning when he usualy comes in to my bed so I can get that extra hours sleep before getting other 2 children up and ready for school and myself ready for work. I have recently put him into a big bed to see if the extra space would help him, but he also shares a room with his 11 year old brother so I can not just leave him to settle himself to sleep (although I did try this method on a weekend so my eldest son was not tired for school),

any advise would be greatfully appreciated

have you had your gp chexk hm out for obstructive sleep apnoea? my three yr old daughter has a similar condition, central sleep apnoea and hasnt had a full night sleep since sh was born at 26 weeks. does he appear to pause in breathing just shortly before he wakes. its worth mentioning to the doctor just in case. the tests to check are very easy and the solution is a small minor operation to remove the adeniods. hope this helps x
