If you are the only one in the Sauna, do you still wear a towel or take your towel off? What if you are in the Sauna with your towel off and someone walks in...do you wrap yourself up?

What do most consider Spa Etiquette in the Sauna - it is OK to be nude regardless of others in the Sauna...or when multiple women are in the Sauna, everyone should have a towel?

What do you do? Has anyone ever ask you to wrap up in a towel? or have you ever asked anyone that was nude to wrap a towel around themselves?

The rare times I've been in a sauna, I've sat on my towel and would cover my lap if someone comes in, it seems the happy medium. I've never had anyone comment on nudity or being topless and I certainly would never tell someone to cover up

I agree with you Summer, fully nude is preferable. I would first ask what the spa policy is regarding nudity in the sauna. If it's not allowed, I won't go there. If alone or if there is room, I prefer to lie on my towel. No one has ever asked me to cover up.

As with Laura and Fiona, I much prefer to be fully nude in the sauna regardless of the opinions of others and to enjoy the full experience.

I have been asked by other Mothers to put a towel over my lap (or bring my knees together)...this was usually when they came in with a younger daughter.

Summer, you did the older sister such a positive service, with your encouragement to lose her towel. So many of us forget we were once all like the younger sister, with a more natural and healthy view of our bodies, naked or not.

I was once in a sauna and two girls came in...and older sister about 13-14 and a younger sister about 8-9. The younger sister had no problem being naked...in fact she seemed to enjoy it...romping around in the sauna going from woman to woman chattering away and bouncing as she stepped.

The 14 year old just lay on her tummy, but made sure the towel was tight and provided covering well below her butt cheeks...in fact, she kept tugging the towel down to be sure.

I finally told her not to be ashamed of her body and to take her towel off and join us. She didn't say anything but did go ahead and unfold her towel.

Both her butt cheeks were red and you could see hand prints...she had just been spanked by her Mother before coming into the sauna! I thought back and did remember her and her Mother having an argument while working out earlier.

Hi Patty

I don't think it is because they don't like their body...I think they are just not used to being naked around other women...they just consider their personal parts...well..very personal lol!!

I was in a sauna once and all the women were naked...except one...she had a beautiful body and I wanted to see it...I asked her if she was wet between her legs, the reason she stayed covered up. Her face turned a hot red and she hesitantly replied "No". I told her to prove it. She opened her towel and spread a few seconds....she had such lovely....wet...lips...: )

I always wonder about women who do that, is it because she doesn't like her body or thinks bodies are shameful or ?

Ha, so I have noticed that too. I will go into a sauna with a bunch of prudes, and as soon as I get stark naked, all the other women start taking their towels off. There always seems to be that one though that still wants to stay covered lol : ) That one is definitely not me!

Why go to a sauna if you can't bare your bottom right?!

Hi Summer. Yes, my bare bottom, bare top, bare front and bare back for all to see. Ok, like you, I will "bring my knees together". Lol, I have manners! Seriously, I find taking my towel off gives the other ladies incentive to do the same.

Hi Olivia

When you say "lay on your towel"....you are still leaving your bare bottom uncovered for others to see?
