So is it a boy thing or something? My daughter at this age was so easy but my son....he's about to be 13 months and the kid gets into absolutely everything. And there's nowhere he won't go....he loves to splash in the toilet DISGUSTING.....of course the doors are always closed and the lids down but I also have a 3 year old and she doesn't always remember to do that........I just had to pull him out of the bathroom and wash the pee off his hands.... he gives me a run for my money.....he never holds still and he trashes the house pulling everything out of the pantry, cupboards, bookshelves.....please tell me he'll calm down soon.....

Thanks Kristin, yes it is spring here (phoenix) and very nice. We try to have outside time everyday at the neighborhood park. He loves it and does a lot of exploring....including trying to run into the street and eating rocks and trying to climb on the playground equipment....LOL.....the boy keeps me active that's for sure....but at least I'm able to keep up with him and he has fun.

Totally normal, they are little explorers and this is a wonderful thing. The only thing I can suggest is double check ALL of the baby proofing that you have done and maybe take a couple of paranoia degrees further. You will want to get a door safety latch for the bathroom and then help her get in to use it.

Last and most importantly, yes this will pass. I don't know where you live, but here it's spring and the outdoors with walks, the yard, and parks are all calling to be explored and used liberally. Get him doing stuff outside that he can get dirty doing and you will give his energy a productive outlet, wear him out, and your home won't be as much of a disaster. Make no mistake, he will still get into everything he can, but you might just be able to redirect him to exploring household things you are okay with him getting into.

Have fun and good luck.
