My son is 1, and has been on alimentum formula since we found out he was allergic to milk protein at 1 month old. he is still addicted to the bottle, lol, and I was wondering if there's anything like alimentum (hypoallergenic formula) that he can have that's more age appropriate. I have seen formulas for children 1 to 3 but not for ones with allergies. do you moms know of anything? water in the bottle is a big NO NO lol, he will not have it in place of formula

you could also try rice or almond milk. All you have to do is make sure he is getting enough fat from his other foods. Or ask his doctor what would be best for him. Good luck!~

have you tried goats milk? My nephew has milk protein problems also. Everytime he has reg. milk, he gets these terrible cold like symptoms that don't go away until he is off the milk. He has been on goats milk for almost 2 years now, and does great. My oldest had to be on the alimentum formula when he was little too. He was on it til he was 15mo, then he out-grew his problems, and was fine with reg milk after that.
