11month old won't sleep when Dad is home!

Hello. This is my first time posting but have found a lot of help on this site.

My daughter is 11 1/2 months old and still doesn't consistently sleep through the night. And by consistently, I mean, when she doesn't sleep through the night, she wakes up 5-8 times a night. She cries and cries, and won't calm down unless I give her a bottle. Sometimes the bottle doesn't even help.

From the time she was 8-10 months, night time was hell. When she turned 11 months, she started sleeping through the night until about 3 nights ago. My husband is out of town a lot for work and for a week straight when he was gone, she slept through the night and didn't give me hell when I put her to sleep. As soon as he came home, she threw a fit every night before bedtime and woke up every two hours. I thought maybe it was a coincidence but tonight he went out and when I put her to bed, she went to sleep without a peep!

Has anyone else experienced this? I think she just must miss him when he is gone, but during the day she is such a mommy's girl. So I'm not sure if that's really it. She has been teething some but was teething when he was out of town and still slept. I don't know what to do about this.

Any advice would help. Thanks!

Sounds like she has missing him, maybe when he's there she doesn't want to miss him leaving and that's why she won't go to sleep? I'm not sure what you can do about it, since she's too young to explain to.. maybe just make sure she gets some one on one daddy daughter time? Good luck though.
