I took a child development and psychology course and we learned that some babies might take up until they're 18-19months before they even try walking without holding anything...hope that helps a little bit...im a fairly new mom so i am not at that point yet

I wouldn't worry too much myself-my son is 14 months and has only just started letting go of the furniture and taking a few steps by himself. I was concerned too but since he has started being a little more mobile I'm confident that I was worrying uneccessarily! He is still unable to stand without using something to hold onto but I'm thinking that he'll work that part out soon enough.

In a couple of weeks Im sure that it will be a totally different story for you and your son-it'll be more of a matter of keeping busy little hands out of where they dont belong! Good luck :)

my twins were 13 &14 months old when they started walking. Every child is different. Is he pulling himself up to stand? Is he walking holding onto to things? If so I wouldn't worry he'll get it eventually. I was also 14mnths old when I started walking. if you're still worried ask talk to your dr.
