For the past few weeks now, since October 30th i have been having some troubles trying to get my daughter to sleep at an early time, the past few weeks she has been going to sleep between 12am - 5:30am, i have tried johnsons bed time bath and lotion to get her to sleep but she doesnt go to sleep after a bath, is there an easier way to break this habit of hers? there is nothing wrong with her, she is a healthy baby and happy, but im just wondering what else is there that i can do to break this habbit of hers? some advice would be really appreciated and thank you to those of you who have taken the time to read this =)

i sure am lol and she is my first baby too, she was an ok sleeper before, she would wake up soemtimes in the middle of the night to eat than during the morning she would sleep right till 11am and get up, and her room is in ours for now cause she still sleeps in her crib, and im still nursing her as well, im hoping to nurse her until she is at her second birthday

Oh dear! You must be so tired! Was she a good sleeper before? Does she have a bedtime ritual that she's used to following, but it has recently changed? For us, the key is the bedtime ritual. We do supper at 6, bathes right after, then quiet play (for her age, we would do it in their room), some dim lighting, books, soft talk, maybe some bedtime music playing. We've always done warm milk before bed too, so their tummies are full (even now that they are 5, 4 and 2 lol).

When it comes to actually putting her to bed, do it at the same time every night, put her in bed, whisper an I love you and good night, and leave. The more you linger and keep going back in, the worse it will be. If you do need to go back in, put her back in bed, say I love you, and leave, no cuddles, lying in bed etc.

I hope this works for you...
