My 16 month old is a picky eater with low apetite. Yesterday i Gave him sweet corns which he ate without fussing. But now Hes pooping all the corns In the Same solid Form. Does It mean Hes uable to digest It? Why Has He Pooped them In the Same Form as He ate It? It also happens sometimes when He eats grapes or raisins.

It's amazing the things that come out the other end looking whole! It's completely normal.

The outer surface of corn (the part that hold the inner kernel) is not digested very well by our bodies, and since little ones don't or can't chew as thoroughly, those outer layers pass through the digestive system whole. Then they fill up with poop on the way and look like they weren't eaten at all. Rest assured that the inner kernels (and pieces of grape, etc) are being digested just fine :)

Corn is very hard to digest. Even most adults have a difficult time digesting corn. My son is 18 months old and he has a difficult time digesting most veggies for some reason (although I haven't tried corn yet). His pediatrician said that it is somewhat normal and takes awhile for them to build up a tolerant immune system. She suggested that I try some of the veggies again around 2 or 3. For some reason their digestion is better around that age. I hope this helps :)
