I am 36 and have a 5 year old. I had a really TERRIBLE experience with the birth and didn't think I could go through that again. Plus I ran across some other problems in my life, and it just was not a priority since I was trying to just focus on my son - since then my life has calmed down, I am not working, and I would like to my son to have a sibling. But also, I feel like I am too old now...Any advice?

I was 42 when I had my first by complete accident (I am happily married but I was on the pill). My pregnancy was horrible and I swore I would never go through that again but I am wanting another one now, and I am 45 and my doctor has given us the go ahead to try. It is very late in the game for me I have 11 years on you but if you and your doctor feel you can handle it then go for it and don't get discouraged.

I would go to my OB/GYN and discuss any concerns you may have. I'm sure there are several tests they could do to inform you as to whether it would be difficult for you to have another child. If you really want this, I say.....Go for it!!! And if you are "too old" you could always look into adoption or other alternatives. Best of luck!! :)
