I have 4 kids. A 2 year old, 1 year old, 10 month old, and a 5 day old baby. I am currently a stay at home mom. Im 20 years old. I have two questions. Should i breast feed my newborn if my breast are cracking and sore or should i let them heal and then breast feed? I am also going to start the pump so i can store milk. Next. I know this is my 4th child and im still very young. But my pelvic bone is bery sore? Is that something i should be worried about and talk to my doctor about? Or is it normal?

It sounds like you are doing an amazing job and being proactive! That isn't easy with so many kiddos. I would wait longer than a month to start pumping though. The first 3 months really help you to establish that bond and good milk supply. I would wait the full 3 months or at least 2 months before pumping and storing. The better foundation you can make in milk supply now...the better it will be in the long run. Unless there is some reason that you might need to be away from your child and that child would then need your pumped milk, I would suggest just nursing, snuggling, and enjoying these precious first few months of bonding. These first few months with this child will only happen once, so I want to encourage you to savor them. They will be gone in a blink of an eye. I also want to commend you for being so young and yet doing such a great job of striving to do what is best for your little ones. That takes a special woman. Continued prayers for you!

Congrats on all your angels💕 As for an answer to your question about breastfeeding ... Although it's painful now, you should continue to breastfeed through the pain... That way your newborn can stay consistent ... There is a cream in a purple tube I used when breastfeeding that was given to me in the hospital (I'm sorry not sure of the name right now) but it helped moisturize my nipples AND was safe for baby to continue to feed without me having to wipe the cream off...as for your pelvic Bone being sore make sure you're taking it easy ... It is baby #4 so it could just be your body feeling the effect... Five days old is still soon... I had pain with my third child for about 8 entire weeks 😩 Good luck and congrats again!!!

Oh sweet mama! I wish I could give you a big hug! First let me congratulate you on your four precious little ones! I know things might seem chaotic and crazy right now, but someday you will look back and this time will have been a mere chapter in your long life. Back to the breastfeeding…Do you have a lactation consultant? If your breasts are already cracked and sore, I would encourage you to see a lactation consultant. Typically, cracking is because of a latch that is not quite right. Breastfeeding is not easy. I have six children, but it took me four kids before I figured out how to breastfeed well. If you can’t afford a lactation consultant, WIC should have one you can talk too. That is who I first used. She was so helpful and such a blessing to me! Unless your nipples are so sore that you can’t stand to nurse, I would suggest not pumping yet. Five days is a bit early to start storing milk. Give your body time to adjust to your baby. In a few months, you can easily start storing milk. This is purely my advice based on having my own children. A lactation consultant will be able to evaluate you and your specific needs. As far as your pelvic bone, you should definitely mention it to your doctor if you are concerned. It might just be hurting from delivering so recently, and it could also be from having so many babies so close together. Having babies really does a number on our bodies. Praying for you!

You may need to pump and bottle feed while your nipples heal or see if a nipple shield will help.
In regards to your pelvis, talk to your doctor but I'd say that your body hasn't had time to heal between pregnancies so it could be normal for you at the moment.
I hope to hell you are on birth control with condom backups!!! Please give your body a rest and prevent any more pregnancies.

Thankss! I actually have been to wic and spoke to someone about the breast feeding. My breast are sore but when she latches on it doesnt hurt. But i have to feed her unless my milk will either dry up or fill up. So about a month a should start pumping? Storing?
