Don't worry about it. Just be sure to tell your pediatrician because they can test all the reflexes and make sure nothing is neurlogically wrong. Most likely, your baby will do it on his own time...I swear it's their way of rebelling already! My youngest son didn't crawl til he was a whole year old, and I was starting to worry, but I just remembered my daughter who didn't walk til 14 months....they'll do it when they're ready!! They don't know there's a book that says they should be doing such and such by a certain age =)

I am having the exact same issue. My daughter is 5mth1wk. She can only stand being on her belly for a while and then she will either cry or fall asleep. It is frustrating, I know.

Both my sons didn't roll til about 8 months, crawled at 10 and walked at 14-15 months.

Just let them do it in their own time... I was in no hurry to have them getting into my cupbards and falling down, LOL

my son never wanted to roll over at 5 months either. We tried everything to get him to roll over. He just kinda skipped that step. He started sitting up without support around the middle of 5 months and has started crawling at 7 months and he still doesn't like to roll over. He will go from his tummy into a sitting position, but when he falls on his back he doesn't want to roll over to get back up. Each baby just have their own way of learning things. At our last appointment, our doctor said not to worry as long as they are learning other things. Maybe you should just skip the step and see if he will do other things instead like sitting.

Don't fret! All kids do things at their own pace! From now until they are about 2yrs or so, everything just has to happen at their time. Always encourage and have constructive play with your kids. They learn more from play then structured learning, especially at the younger ages. Most importantly, don't compare your child to anyone else's. All kids are different, all parents are different, and that is the best thing of all!!!

if he's snoozing, you know he's tired from trying! he'll get it. each one is different. your next one will roll over at a different time than this one. besides, their easier to kiss when they're asleep and not rolling away from you!

Every baby hits their milestones at different times.

Just keep giving him regular floor time everyday and he will reach his milestones. Also sometimes they do things out of order. Like one of mine never crawled till they walked. Things like that are "normal" My only son was sitting up by 5 months old and running by 9 months. He was early at everything physical. Every child is so much different.

My son rolled once when he was four months, and then didn't roll again until he was 8 months. I tried everything to encourage it and help him learn how to, but he just wasn't interested. Just be patient...when he's ready, he'll start, and then he won't stop!

you've got to find something that he really likes food toys what ever it wont make him roll but if it gets him interested he might wanted to have a go at least. My 5 month old born 14 march 09 wont roll but he has just started crawling he still wont roll maybe accidently when sleeping or trying to crawl but not on purpose never had any interest in it. my first son was the same and he started crawling at 7 months and walking at 9 months all baby's are different he is prob better at other things. He will roll in his own time try not to worry to much.

just let him go. when he's ready he'll try little by little. my daughter was the exact same way. she started rolling at 7 mos., crawling at 9 to 12 mos. and walking at 12 to 13 mos. it just takes patience.
