My 5 month old daughter is not really progressing with her tummy time, I have been helping her roll over, and when she gets on her tummy, she just puts her head down, and sucks on her hand. I want her to pick up her head and try to get on her elbows like the doctor said she should be doing. I know each child moves at their own pace, but she is a big girl, very long. Do I just need to be patient? I can't wait for her to crawl! What is the crawling stage? PS- we do tummy time several times per day.

I have her in her cradle and on the play mat with dangling toys, do I need a bouncer, what other things can I buy to entertain her at this stage.

Ok Thanks! I have an exersaucer but she's still too tiny for it, the seat has so much room, and I feel like she bends a weird way when I put her in, maybe one more month. I will try practicing more with her, thank you!

My almost-4-month-old loves his bouncer! He just chills out in it and plays with his toys, 'talks' to himself, or we interact/play with him while he's in it. As far as the tummy time, we've been practicing tummy time since before he was 1 month old. He holds his head up like a champ with his arms giving him support (even holds his head up in his crib when he wakes up from a nap looking for mommy or daddy), but sometimes he lays his head down, too and will also suck on his hand. Ours isn't crawling yet either, but we're always helping him/practicing with crawling, tummy time and walking! Just keep practicing with her. She should get the hang of it soon! We also have an exersaucer that we will be putting together in the next couple weeks--I would totally recommend one of those as well.
