My seven month old will not take naps. He sleeps great during the night, 11 hours straight wakes for a bottle and goes back down for another 2 or 3 hours. He has always only taken one nap a day and it used to be for 3 hours then he dropped it down to 1.5 hours and now nothing. I have tried letting him cry for an hour straight and he just gets so worked up he won't fall asleep. If he does by chance fall asleep it's in my arms while I am feeding him a bottle and as soon as I move he wakes up. Sometimes if I put him in his swing immediatly he will sleep but never in his crib. I am at a loss for what to do.

I would try and keep him awake after he eats in the morning ,give a bath ,get him dressed ,take him in the stroller out or do things that will keep him up so he can take a nap because he will be tired then when he adjusts to this it maybe a little more easy for you ....

He's an early to bed baby he wants to sleep by 630-7pm sleeps til 530-730am eats then will go back down til 9-930am. It's just me and the dog in the house during the day so it's quiet but I'm still moving about doing things same at night my husband is home so theres a little more noise but not noisy by any means. I usually wait til about 130 -230pm to try for the nap, thats when he shows signs of being tired but even if I can get him to sleep it's only for a half hour whether hes in my arms or in his swing and like I said never in his crib.

what time does he go to bed and what time does he get up? do you keep a real quiet house or do you make regular noise?
