8 month old sleeping issues

My 8 month old son has always being a pretty good sleeper up until he realised he could stand up in his cot instead of sleep.
I've always done the whole self soothing technique but now he always wants a bottle and to be rocked before going to bed which results in him waking up every couple of hours.
He does not give up easily and will put up a big fight to not sleep.
Are their any other mums who are experiencing this? If so what are you doing to help the situation?

I am experiencing the same thing with my 6 month old daughter Adyson. She quite often fights sleep and crawls around instead. What i usually do is put on some soothing music and actually i put some glowing stars on the ceiling so at night time she likes to lay down and look at them, because they fascinate her, and eventually she falls asleep! So i would suggest putting something for him to look at that will intrigue him on the ceiling above his bed so he stays laying down!! This way hes laying and therefor will probably soon fall asleep.

Yes, just soothe him.. give him a bottle and put him back to bed after. as he grows he will need more calories to get through the night sometimes, just give them to him so that he can rest and so can you.

Also a heavier feeding prior to bed helps to keep babies down all night, and also a diaper that is 1 size bigger helps them to feel more dry and prevent them from waking up all night wet as well.

Happy sleeping!

Take care.
